New Leadership at the Art Park!
At the annual meeting in January '08, Dick Tuttle was elected as the new President of the Art Park.Dick was a director from 2001 to 2006 and returned to the board last summer. To aid in the transition, former President Victoria Kennedy now serves as Vice President. Corporate Controller, Janice Jackson joined us as Treasurer in October '07 and Steve Waldron continues as Secretary. New Board members are artist/inventor John Fitzsimmons and long time trails committee member and B&G chair Doug Gustafson.

Dick Tuttle - President: Serving on the Art Park's board from 2001-2006, Dick chaired several committees including Investment, Nominating, By-laws and Arts and Exhibition. He returned last summer as Vice President and was elected President in January ’08. Dick is a retired investments executive and former owner of Tuttle, the Discount Broker. He has served in numerous volunteer activities including president of the Landmark Theatre.
Victoria Kennedy- Vice President: Serving on the Art Park's board since 2002 as chair of the B&G Committee and elected President in 2006, Victoria continues on as Vice President in 2008. Victoria is an avid art collector and a retired federal government official who spent most of her professional life in Washington DC working at the Enivironmental Protection Agency, the Departments of State and Defense, and the White House.
Steve Waldron - Secretary: Steve first joined the board in 1994 and since has served twice as Board President. He has been the Associate Director at the CNY Health Systems Agency, Inc. since 1975 and Coordinator of the Central New York HIV CARE network since 1991. Waldron is also a board member of the New York AIDS Coalition and a former board member of the American Lung Association of NYS. He has been a member of the Syracuse Ceramic Guild for 30 years and is a past president of the Guild.
Janice Jackson - Treasurer: Janice joined the Art Park board Fall 2007, Janice serves as the Treasurer and is a member of the Finance committee. Janice also enjoys her spare time spending time at the park walking her new puppy Maggie on the miles of walking trails or attending the many varied events during the year. Janice works for USA Datanet in Amory Square as a Vice President and Controller.
Larry Tully - Personnel: Larry joined the Board in 2005 and serves as Chair of the Personnel Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee. He is a retired partner in the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC; an Adjunct Professor at SUNY's Morrisville and Empire State Colleges and at Le Moyne College; Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton; and a small business counseler for the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE).
David St. John - Communications: David has served on the board since October 2006 and helps out by furthering the Art Park’s communications and public outreach activities. He moved to Cazenovia in early 2006, having lived and worked the previous 25 years in Washington, DC and Geneva, Switzerland. He is a founding board member of the Cazenovia Forum public lecture series, serves on the Vestry at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church and runs his own communications and public relations firm serving clients in the U.S. and Europe. David is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
John Fitzsimmons - Exhibition: John joined the board in January '08 and heads up our Arts & Exhibition committee. He is an internationally exhibited painter and product designer. He has been a house painter, paper mill worker, machinery dealer, junk dealer, contractor, inventor, factory manager & liquidator, and the inventor of cat sweaters made from Swifter's, so your cat will do you dusting for you! He has exhibited his paintings widely and has had numerous solo shows. He lives in DeWitt with his wife Patrice, a mortgage officer at HSBC bank. He has a son Travis, a musician, actor and model, and daughter, Lauren, a movie set designer and two step sons, Mike, a chef, and Ben a theater manager. www.fitzsimmonsart.com

Doug Gustafson - Buildings & Grounds: Having devoted many volunteer hours to the Stone Quarry Hill Art Park over the past 12 years, Doug has built up extensive experience in the areas of trail maintenance and design and is currently chairman of the Trail Committee. He also participates in many Art Park public activities and is familiar with the functional mechanics of running the Park. Doug has worked as a project manager for energy efficiency construction projects for the past 16 years and is currently an active SQHAP board member.
Amber Blanding - Arts Administrator: Amber started volunteering at the Art Park last April helping out as Gift Shop manager and soon after started working in the office as Arts Administrator. She graduated in 2002 with a BFA from Alfred University, and has since worked in a neon studio, a stained glass studio and currently to a studio that many artists have shared. Amber has her own business, Amber Waves of Glass, and displays her work around Central New York and beyond. www.amberwavesofglass.com.
